Excellent for getting into funk, psychedelic grooves, or channeling some Dead. While not a Mu-Tron voiced EF, the Analog Man Envelope Filter is really great too. The Neutrino takes your guitar playing and creates an automatic wah sound based on your pick attack Envelope filters (or auto-wahs as they are often called) sound and react best when they are opto-coupler based. And relatively cheap! Usually under $150, sometimes much less (even under $100, or as low as $70 recently on the Emporium). The Keeley Neutrino V2 is an amazingly toneful and compact form of the classic opto-coupler envelope filter. Loved the Rubber Chicken so much that I bought a backup in case anything ever happened to it! It's THAT good. 3 years ago, it ended my envelope filter/ auto-wah search after about 10 tries over the span of a decade (Neutrino twice, EQD Spatial Delivery, Mu-Tron 3, various Q-Tron models, DOD 440, 3-Leaf, a few others). Hendrix-like wah sounds when set right? Yup. It can be dialed in for Mu-Tron sounds, for sure, or to do its own thing and a LOT in between. Solo notes are individually expressive based on how hard you. The harder you pick, the harder it 'wahs' Sounds bubble up from a deep rounded warmth to a shinning brilliance.
